GetBrovo Full POS — Coming Soon

A register built for how a restaurant actually takes an order.

Not a tablet pretending to be a cash register. A screen that keeps up with somebody who has done this ten thousand times and does not want to think about the software.

Coming soon

The problem

Most modern registers are slower than the old ones.

They look better. There are more screens, more taps, more confirmations, more places to get lost. Meanwhile the person taking the order has a queue in front of them and a phone ringing behind them.

The old restaurant systems were ugly and people were fast on them, because the buttons never moved and the flow never stopped.

Speed at the register is not a nice-to-have. It is how many orders you can take in the twenty minutes that matter.

The flow

Category, item, options, done.

One movement, repeated, until the order is finished. No detours and no dead ends.

1

Pick a category

The items appear immediately. No loading screen, no second menu to open.

2

Pick an item

Straight into sizes and options. You are already where you needed to be.

3

Finish the item

It drops onto the order and you are back at the main screen.

4

Next

Same movement again. Muscle memory does the work.

Somebody should be able to learn this in one shift and stop looking at the screen by the second.

Why ours

A register that is not on its own.

Most point-of-sale systems are an island. The orders live there, the customers live there, and getting anything out of it is somebody else’s project.

The same menu

One menu behind the counter, the website, the app and the kitchen. Change a price once.

The same customers

A walk-in and an online order end up on the same record, so loyalty and marketing work either way.

The same kitchen

Counter orders route to the same stations and printers as everything else.

The same night

Counter, phone, online and delivery on one screen instead of four systems that disagree.

The register is the last place a restaurant’s information gets stranded. That is the part worth fixing, more than the buttons.

Live today vs coming soon

Restaurant Order Terminal today. Full POS coming soon.

The tablet a GetBrovo restaurant runs today is a Restaurant Order Terminal. It is live and in use. The Full POS register, the cash-drawer setup and automatic Caller ID customer recognition are still being built.

What we are working towards

The direction, not a promise.

This is what a GetBrovo register is being designed around. None of it is live, and we will not describe any of it as finished until it is.

  • Counter ordering, with the full register on one screen.
  • Cash register and cash-out at the end of the night.
  • Table management and dine-in service.
  • Pickup orders and delivery orders handled in the same place as the counter.
  • Phone orders taken on the same system as everything else.
  • Customer profiles and order history at the counter, not just online.
  • Recognising a customer when they call, and pulling up who they are.
  • Kitchen and station routing straight off the counter order.
  • Payments handled through the same flow.

Everything above is in development. Nothing here is available today.

What it will not be

We are not building the thing you already dislike.

  • Not a system that needs a week of training and a laminated cheat sheet.
  • Not a pile of equipment you did not ask for and do not use.
  • Not a screen that makes an experienced person slower than they were on paper.
  • Not an island. If it does not connect to the rest of your restaurant, there is no point building it.

Restaurant point-of-sale has spent twenty years adding features. The interesting problem now is taking them away.

Cost

The barrier should be lower than a traditional install.

Putting a conventional restaurant point-of-sale system in can be a serious piece of spending before you have taken a single order on it. Our intention is for the equipment side of GetBrovo to be a much smaller step than that.

We are not publishing a price for a product that is not finished. When there is a real number, you will see a real number.

In the meantime, GetBrovo runs alongside whatever register you already have. You do not need to wait for this to start.
